Yorkshire Dales National Park has deservedly won its title for it’s stunning scenery, diversity of wildlife habitats and abundant cultural heritage. After its cascading descent to the biggest known underground chambers in the U.K, the flow of water seeps into the bouldery floor only to continue to it’s neighbouring Ingleborough Cave.
The Yorkshire Dales is also famous, amongst other things, for Aysgarth Falls, which is a triple flight of waterfalls encompassed but woodland and farmland. Thousands of gallons of water cascade over the large limestone steps.
Another spot Yorkshire is famous for is the National Trust owned Malham Tarn, a glacial lake close to the village of Malham. It has a 377m elevation over sea level, and makes it the highest lake in England. Due to its rare geology and natural history, it is now noted under a considerable amount of conservation designations.
